jonah plays with toys

People are always asking me, "what's Jonah doing now?" and well, sometimes my mind goes blank due to my momnesia. He's doing all sorts of cool things though. We swear he can say "hi". Haven't caught it on video yet. He does talk to us though. He is beginning to become interested in television- bad bad. Usually, I turn it off or try to distract him from it. He was captivated by some of Obama's speech this morning but then lost interest. You know that Obama, he tends to ramble after a while. I heard some funny things lately like 'Obamaholic' and 'obamaniac'. I guess it could work to say 'barackaholic' too. We don't find ourselves in that camp (right now) but the phrases are entertaining nonetheless.
Jonah looks at Roxy now and he even pets her. He kicks and grabs things and is starting to yell a little bit. He rocks out to his tunes, 97.1, the drive...all classic rock all the time with commercial free Sundays. He cries out when his mobile stops and lets mommy and daddy sleep for stretches of about 7 hours at night and has for a while. yes! Most importantly, he's into books and even "talks" to them.
He seems right hand dominant but we're working on that. We need him to be a lefty-relief pitcher for the Cubs. This is the year. According to Jonah's Uncle Bob, Jonah Carroll (J.C.) is the chosen one who will break the curse. I must agree. He's the cubbies' lucky charm.

We're having such a great time with him. We're so blessed.
