"Baby Boy KJ" O'Neill
This is Jonah Carroll when he was only a couple hours old. For several days at the hospital we called him KJ or baby boy o'neill. His auntie Natalie DeMeo named him KJ this summer (kevin junior). We kicked around all sorts of names but couldn't settle on one--only the letter j. We picked his middle name Carroll because it's a nice Irish name and it also happens to be my middle name, only I spell it Carole.
We finally chose the name when kev called me in the hospital and said, "How's little Jonah doing?" Although ever since then, Kevin insists on calling him Jack and/or Jackie.
We also call him Monster because he makes all sorts of monster and Frankenstein noises constantly, even when he's sleeping. He's also little Chipmunk because he squeaks like a chipmunk when we're changing him. My fam calls him Murthan because when i was pregnant my dad was reading this Ken Follett novel, World Without End, where the main character was Murthan. Everyday my dad would ask me, "How's little Murthan doing?" It kinda stuck.
Jonah means Dove. Jonah is also a symbol for peace. It's also the name of the cute little boy in Sleepless In Seattle played by Ross Malinger. Ross also starred in other fine films such as Kindergarten Cop and Bye, Bye Love. He also starred on Party of Five for a few episodes.
Jonah and the whale is a great story in the bible..I mean it when i say story! Jonah can also mean jinx. For example, Uncle Tuny called Uncle Leo "Jonah" whenever they'd go fishing together. When Leo was there, they'd never catch any fish. Tuny promised that Jonah will be invited fishing regardless of his name!
